Kheda Toll Plaza is an important toll collection point on National Highway 48 in Kheda district, Gujarat. Its official name is Radhvanaj (Kheda) Fee Plaza, although most travellers simply call it Kheda Toll Plaza.

| Vehicle category | Single journey | Return journey | Monthly pass |
| Car, jeep or van | ₹115 | ₹170 | ₹3,755 |
| Light commercial vehicle or minibus | ₹180 | ₹265 | ₹5,940 |

| Vehicle with seven or more axles | ₹715 | ₹1,070 | ₹23,755 |
A car, jeep or van pays ₹115 for one crossing. An eligible outward and return journey costs ₹170 when the vehicle returns through the same plaza within 24 hours.
The standard monthly pass for a car, jeep or van costs ₹3,755. This pass is different from the concessional local monthly pass available to eligible residents.
Single and Return-Journey Charges Explained
The ₹115 car rate applies to one crossing through Kheda Toll Plaza.
The ₹170 return rate covers one outward journey and one eligible return journey. It does not mean that ₹170 is charged separately in each direction.
A typical FASTag transaction may appear as:
- First crossing: ₹115
- Return crossing within 24 hours: ₹55
- Total outward and return charge: ₹170
The same active FASTag must be used for both crossings.
When a vehicle returns after the permitted 24-hour period, the second crossing may be treated as another single journey and charged ₹115.
Drivers should retain both FASTag transaction messages until the return journey has been completed.
Local Commercial Vehicle Rates
Reduced rates are listed for qualifying commercial vehicles registered within the district where Kheda Toll Plaza is situated.
| Vehicle category | Local commercial rate |
| Commercial car, jeep or van | ₹55 |
| Light commercial vehicle or minibus | ₹90 |
| Bus or two-axle truck | ₹185 |
| Commercial vehicle with up to three axles | ₹200 |
| Four-to-six-axle vehicle | ₹285 |
| Heavy construction or earth-moving equipment | ₹285 |
| Vehicle with seven or more axles | ₹355 |
A GJ-07 registration number may not automatically activate the concession. The vehicle owner may need to submit:
- Vehicle registration certificate
- Valid commercial permit
- Registered business or residential-address proof
- Active FASTag linked to the vehicle
- Proof of regular local operation
- Completed concession application
The toll administration must approve and configure the reduced rate on the vehicle’s FASTag.
Local Resident Monthly Pass
A person living within 20 kilometres of Kheda Toll Plaza may apply for a concessional monthly pass for a privately owned, non-commercial car, jeep or van.
The local monthly-pass charge for 2026–27 is:
₹360 per month
Applicants may be asked to provide:
- Vehicle registration certificate
- Aadhaar card or another identity document
- Current residential-address proof
- Active FASTag linked to the vehicle
- Registered mobile number
- Recent photograph
- Completed local-pass application
The residence must be verified as being within the prescribed 20-kilometre distance.
The pass is linked to one resident, vehicle and FASTag. Owning a vehicle registered in Kheda district does not automatically qualify the owner for the concession.
Address and Exact Location
The commonly used address is: Radhvanaj (Kheda) Toll Plaza, Survey No. 225, NH 48, Radhvanaj village, near Matar, Kheda District, Gujarat 387570.
Directions to Kheda Toll Plaza
1. From Ahmedabad
Join NH 48 and travel southeast towards Bareja, Kheda, Nadiad, Anand and Vadodara.
Continue on the main Vadodara-bound carriageway. Follow the toll-lane signs while approaching Radhvanaj and Matar.
Drivers choosing the Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway instead of regular NH 48 will use a different toll system and will not normally cross Radhvanaj Toll Plaza.
2. From Bareja
Travel south or southeast on NH 48 towards Kheda, Nadiad and Vadodara.
Continue on the main highway. Kheda Toll Plaza is reached near Radhvanaj village.
3. From Kheda Town
Use the appropriate local road to join NH 48.
Vehicles travelling towards Ahmedabad should select the northbound carriageway. Vehicles travelling towards Nadiad, Anand or Vadodara should use the southbound side.
Whether a short local journey crosses the toll plaza depends on the junction used and the vehicle’s destination.
4. From Nadiad
Join NH 48 towards Kheda and Ahmedabad.
Continue northwest on the Ahmedabad-bound carriageway. Follow signs for Radhvanaj or Kheda Toll Plaza.
Drivers starting from Nadiad should distinguish between NH 48 and the Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway because the two roads use different toll arrangements.
5. From Anand
Travel northwest on NH 48 towards Nadiad, Kheda and Ahmedabad.
Depending on the exact entry point, the journey may cross Vasad Toll Plaza before reaching Kheda Toll Plaza.
6. From Vadodara
Join NH 48 and travel north towards Vasad, Anand, Nadiad, Kheda and Ahmedabad.
A Vadodara-to-Ahmedabad journey using regular NH 48 generally crosses both Vasad and Kheda toll plazas. Therefore, Kheda’s ₹115 car rate is not the complete toll for the entire journey.
Kheda and Vasad Toll Plazas Are Different
Kheda and Vasad are separate toll plazas on NH 48.
Kheda Toll Plaza is officially called Radhvanaj Fee Plaza and is located at Km 44.005 in Kheda district.
Vasad Toll Plaza is situated farther south at Km 92.000 near Vasad in Anand district.
A vehicle travelling between Ahmedabad and Vadodara on regular NH 48 may cross both plazas. Separate FASTag deductions from Kheda and Vasad are therefore not automatically duplicate charges.
Drivers should compare:
- Exact plaza name
- Transaction date and time
- Amount deducted
- Direction of travel
- Route followed
Kheda Toll Plaza and Nadiad Expressway Toll Are Different
Kheda Toll Plaza is on the regular Ahmedabad–Vadodara section of NH 48.
Nadiad Toll Plaza is part of the access-controlled Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway, designated NE 1. The expressway follows a closed-toll system in which the charge is related to the entry and exit points used.
A driver travelling through Nadiad on NE 1 should not confuse the expressway transaction with a Radhvanaj or Kheda NH 48 transaction.
Vehicles normally choose either:
- Regular NH 48 through Kheda Toll Plaza, or
- Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway through its entry and exit toll system
The route chosen by the navigation application determines which toll facility is used.
FASTag and Payment Information
FASTag is the standard payment method at Kheda Toll Plaza.
Before travelling, drivers should ensure that the FASTag:
- Is active and has sufficient balance
- Is properly attached to the windscreen
- Is linked to the correct vehicle registration number
- Shows the correct vehicle category
- Has completed the required verification
- Is not damaged, suspended or blacklisted
Maintain sufficient distance from the vehicle ahead while entering a toll lane. Driving too close may prevent the scanner from identifying each FASTag separately.
The transaction message may show Radhvanaj, Radhvanaj Kheda or Kheda Toll Plaza.
An incorrect deduction can be challenged through the FASTag-issuing bank, the RajmargYatra platform or National Highway helpline 1033.
FASTag Annual Pass
The NHAI FASTag Annual Pass costs ₹3,075 for the 2026–27 financial year.
It is available for eligible privately registered, non-commercial cars, jeeps and vans. The pass remains valid for one year from activation or 200 eligible toll-plaza crossings, whichever occurs first.
Each one-way passage through Kheda Toll Plaza normally counts as one crossing. Travelling through the plaza and later returning generally counts as two crossings.
Before relying on the pass, drivers should confirm that:
- Radhvanaj or Kheda Fee Plaza appears in the eligible-plaza list
- The vehicle is privately registered and non-commercial
- Its registered category is car, jeep or van
- The FASTag is active and linked to the complete registration number
- The FASTag is properly attached to the same vehicle
The Annual Pass is activated on the existing FASTag and cannot be transferred to another vehicle.
Highway Facilities and Emergency Contacts
Two truck lay-bys and two static weighbridges are listed on the associated highway section. A dedicated public rest area is not listed directly at the toll plaza.

- Friday and Sunday travel periods
- Public holidays and long weekends
- Diwali and other festival journeys
- Heavy commercial-vehicle movement
- Road maintenance or diversions
- Monsoon rainfall
Choose the correct lane early and avoid sudden lane changes near the toll booths.
NH 48 carries trucks, buses, motorcycles and local vehicles entering through village and service-road connections. Maintain additional distance from heavy vehicles.
During intense monsoon rain, reduce speed and allow more braking distance. Do not stop near the toll lanes or on the active highway shoulder.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Why does my FASTag message show Radhvanaj instead of Kheda?
A: Radhvanaj is the official village-based name of the fee plaza. Radhvanaj Toll Plaza and Kheda Toll Plaza normally refer to the same facility at Km 44.005 on NH 48.
Q2: Will an Ahmedabad-to-Vadodara journey cross Kheda Toll Plaza?
A: A journey using regular NH 48 generally crosses Kheda and Vasad toll plazas. A vehicle using the Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway follows a different toll system and normally does not cross Kheda Toll Plaza.
Q3: Why did FASTag deduct ₹115 first and ₹55 during the return?
A: The eligible car return rate is ₹170 in total. The system may deduct ₹115 on the first crossing and the remaining ₹55 when the vehicle returns within 24 hours using the same FASTag.
Q4: How can an incorrect Kheda FASTag deduction be challenged?
A: Save the transaction message and note the plaza name, date, time, amount and vehicle number. Report it through the FASTag-issuing bank, RajmargYatra or helpline 1033. Include both transaction records when disputing a return-journey charge.
