Gegal Toll Plaza is a National Highway fee-collection point near Gegal village in Ajmer district, Rajasthan. It serves vehicles travelling between Kishangarh, Ajmer and Beawar and is part of the six-lane Kishangarh-Ajmer-Beawar highway project.
Older toll databases continue to identify this corridor as NH 8. Recent NHAI records use the new highway numbers NH 448 and NH 58 for the Kishangarh-Ajmer-Beawar section; the Gegal side is commonly mapped on NH 448. FASTag plaza code 006001 is the most reliable identifier when checking a toll deduction.
Gegal is the northern toll plaza on this project. Piplaz is a separate plaza farther south towards Beawar, so a through journey from Kishangarh to Beawar can generate valid deductions at both plazas.

Single and Return-Journey Charges Explained
For a car, the ₹110 return tariff is the combined amount for the first crossing and the qualifying return crossing. It does not mean ₹110 is charged in each direction.
- First crossing: ₹75
- Eligible return component: ₹35
- Total for both eligible crossings: ₹110
Use the same active FASTag for both passages. If the return does not satisfy the applicable return-journey rule, the second crossing can be treated as a fresh single journey. Keep both FASTag messages until the trip is complete.
Local Resident Monthly Pass
For FY 2026-27, the listed local monthly pass is ₹360 for an eligible privately owned, non-commercial vehicle belonging to a person residing within 20 kilometres of Gegal Toll Plaza.
Applicants may be required to provide:
- Vehicle registration certificate
- Aadhaar card or another identity document
- Current residential-address proof
- Active FASTag linked to the vehicle
- Registered mobile number
- Completed local-pass application
The toll administration must verify the residence and vehicle before activating the concession. Merely having an Ajmer district registration number does not automatically qualify the vehicle for the local pass.

Directions to Gegal Toll Plaza
1. From Ajmer
Travel northeast from Ajmer towards Kishangarh on NH 448. Continue on the main six-lane highway towards Gegal and follow the advance toll-plaza signs before reaching the Kishangarh side.
2. From Kishangarh
Join NH 448 towards Ajmer. Continue southwest through the Gegal side of the corridor. The toll plaza is encountered before reaching central Ajmer.
3. From Jaipur
Travel towards Kishangarh on NH 48, then continue from the Kishangarh side towards Ajmer on the connecting NH 448 corridor. A Jaipur-to-Ajmer journey can cross other toll plazas before Gegal, so check each FASTag transaction separately.
4. From Beawar
Travel north towards Ajmer on NH 58 and continue through Ajmer towards Kishangarh. A Beawar-to-Kishangarh journey normally crosses Piplaz first and Gegal later, because they are separate plazas on the same wider project.
Gegal and Piplaz Toll Plazas Are Different
Gegal and Piplaz are two separate fee plazas on the Kishangarh-Ajmer-Beawar project. Gegal is on the Kishangarh-Ajmer side, while Piplaz lies farther south towards Beawar.
A complete Kishangarh-to-Beawar journey can therefore create two valid FASTag deductions. Before reporting a duplicate charge, compare the plaza name, plaza code, amount, date, time and direction of travel.
Why Some Records Show NH 8
The original project and many toll databases use NH 8. Current NHAI and Government records identify the Kishangarh-Ajmer-Beawar project under the newer NH 448 and NH 58 numbering. Both references can therefore appear in legitimate highway and toll records.
FASTag and Payment Information
FASTag is the standard payment method at Gegal Toll Plaza. Before travelling, make sure the tag:
- Is active and has sufficient balance
- Is fixed correctly to the windscreen
- Is linked to the correct vehicle registration number
- Shows the correct vehicle category
- Has completed the required verification
- Is not damaged, suspended or blacklisted
For a wrong or duplicate deduction, keep the transaction message and raise the issue through the FASTag-issuing bank, RajmargYatra or National Highway helpline 1033.
FASTag Annual Pass
The NHAI FASTag Annual Pass costs ₹3,075 for FY 2026-27. It is available for eligible privately registered, non-commercial cars, jeeps and vans at participating National Highway and National Expressway fee plazas.
The pass is valid for one year from activation or 200 eligible crossings, whichever comes first. Before relying on it at Gegal, confirm that the plaza appears in the current eligible-plaza list and that activation is complete on the vehicle’s existing FASTag.
