Important Note About the Reduced Tariff

The Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court had directed NHAI to reduce toll collection by 80% at Lakhanpur and Bann because of construction and road-condition concerns. The Supreme Court later stayed that direction and permitted NHAI to collect 75% of the ordinary rate under the applicable fee rules. The ₹140 car rate shown above is the current publicly listed 2026 tariff, but drivers should check the plaza display because the legal or construction position may change.

Local Monthly Pass

A resident living within 20 kilometres of Lakhanpur Toll Plaza may qualify for a concessional pass for a privately owned, non-commercial vehicle. The listed local monthly-pass charge for the 2026–27 financial year is ₹360.

Applicants may be asked to provide:

  • Vehicle registration certificate
  • Aadhaar card or another identity document
  • Proof of residential address
  • Active FASTag linked to the vehicle
  • Registered mobile number
  • Recent photograph, when requested

The pass is connected to a particular resident, vehicle and FASTag. Merely having a Jammu and Kashmir registration number does not automatically provide the local concession.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Was Lakhanpur Toll Plaza abolished in 2020?

Q3: Can the FASTag Annual Pass be used at Lakhanpur?

A: Eligible non-commercial cars, jeeps and vans can check Lakhanpur’s coverage through RajmargYatra. The Annual Pass costs ₹3,075 for 2026–27 and remains valid for one year or 200 covered toll crossings, whichever occurs first.
